An Afternoon
A glance, up at the clouds
A sip, in a cup of tea
A click, on the mouse
Or, maybe just let it be
It's another lazy afternoon passing by...
The streets of the city are empty
And so, are our guts and brains
And everything seems unfamiliar
Cause they don't make any sense!
The thoughts are not working,
And the body needs to rest,
But I have to think and run,
And have to be at my best.
It seems you know not what to do
next
There's a dilemma hovering over your face
And you don't know if you can win the race
But you simply can't put down your case!
Let us talk, let us chat,
For 'tis all that we can do,
The wounds that we bear, the scars that we wear,
Are never gonna let us go!
And then,
Another sip in my cup,
And another click on the mouse
As Welkin's cheek turns gradually shy
And the glaze falls upon my house
The streets are slowly getting thronged
With people of different aeons,
And my mind suddenly starts thinking,
And my body wishes to run...
Another lazy afternoon passes by...
